Spotify Playlist Of My Life
Many people have songs that reflect their life, experiences, and views so for this blog post I will be talking about songs that reflect me in different ways.

99 Luftballons - Nena
The song "99 Luftballons" tells the story of how 99 ballons going into the sky over the horizon led to a war causing the end of the world. I think this song represents me well, because a lot of debates and arguments that I have been part of come down to misunderstandings and sometimes these debates or arguments can go farther than they need to. These arguments would generally have been less harsh or not start if there wasn't a lack of understanding.
Pump Up The Jam - Technotronic
The reason behind why "Pump Up The Jam" represents me is much less in depth than my explanation for "99 Luftballons." The way that "Pump Up The Jam" reflects me is through my love to jam out to music. Music is an integral part of my life and I'm always listening to it and cranking up the volume. This is why I believe a song about jamming to music really shows an important facet of my life.
Burn The House Down - AJR
In "Burn The House Down" there is a discussion of the silencing of voices and how the media only shows you what they want and how the government controls opinions. This may seem like a weird song to reflect something about me, but I still think it works well because I feel many times my views and beliefs are some of the ones that are the most silenced and the ones that you won't see in the media.
The World's Smallest Violin - AJR
I believe that "The World's Smallest Violin" represents me well because it shows some beliefs that I hold about myself more than I should such as those about not being good enough or being accomplished enough. I also relates to my desire to have an impact and do something that people will appreciate. That and it can show my obsession with being a perfectionist and doing things to please others and society.
One Week - Barenaked Ladies
Now this one is a very strange, but catchy one. The reason I would say I relate to "One Week" is just because of its strangeness and chaos, because I can be a strange and chaotic person who doesn't make much sense. And I can tell you confidence that this song doesn't make much sense.
Virtual Insanity - Jamiroquai
Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity" isn't just a really good catchy song, but also a commentary on all of the crazy inventions and ideas and fears of the future and the state of humanity. I think it is especially apparent with large tech companies making products that have the sole goal of making you dependant or not even always providing quality kind of like Metaverse. This song shares my fears about future and about society and even my fears about technology.
What's Up - 4 Non Blondes
The song "What's Up" talks about the struggles of life and how sometimes we can descend into craziness or insanity. This is very true of me at times. I have times where I can just go crazy or descend into the bad things in life and sometimes exacerbate the problems of my life.
You Say - Lauren Daigle
Lauren Daigle's song "You Say" relates to how in many cases I feel flawed and primarily see my flaws. It shows me though however that God cares for me still and that I'm not terrible because I'm saved by God. So this song doesn't show how I feel, but what I should feel and what I need to remember and it actually is quite a good reminder when I listen to it.
Tubthumping - Chumbawamba
What a mouthful "Tubthumping" is. You might think it is a bizarre song and you'd be right and even though that part fits me that isn't the reason I chose this song. I actually chose this song because it talks about not giving up and continuing one even during difficulties and after challenges.
Sunday's Best - Surfaces
The song "Sunday's Best" seems to contrast the other songs because it more happier, but this does show the happy part of me that is ever-present even through all the other parts of me present in the other songs. It shows the part of me that always has joy and doesn't care. As a person with a complex emotional slate a lot of these all combine and mash up into the interesting combination that is me, but even with this mix I somehow stay always present, grateful, and full of joy. It's also just a fun song that makes me feel really happy when I listen to it.
